Wendy's offers some incredibly unhealthy burgers - like the Baconator at 960 calories and 27 grams of saturated fat. But they also do healthy fast food meals surprisingly well. Here are five great choices that you shouldn't feel guilty to eat: 

1. Grilled Chicken Sandwich - 350 Cals

Most of the chicken sandwiches on Wendy's menu are of the "crispy" variety - that means fried and high in calories. The one exception is their grilled chicken breast sandwich which is topped with honey mustard, spring mix, and tomato. At only 350 calories and boasting 33 grams of protein, this is the best choice if you're craving a chicken sandwich.

2. Classic Bacon, Egg & Cheese Sandwich - 320 Cals

Wendy's doesn't have much variety on their breakfast menu. The healthiest choice is to pick their simplest breakfast sandwich: bacon, egg, and cheese on a warm roll. At 320 calories and 18 grams of protein, there are a lot worse ways to start the day.

3. Southwest Avocado Salad - 560 Cals

Wendy's actually receives rave reviews for the quality of their salads, at least compared to other fast food restaurants. The Southwest Avocado Salad contains lettuce, pepper jack cheese, diced tomatoes, avocado, bacon, and grilled chicken breast. It's packed with 40 grams of protein. the 560 calorie total includes both the salad and the southwest ranch dressing (140 calories per packet).

4. Large Chili - 340 Cals

It might surprise you to learn that Wendy's chili is actually a healthy choice. A large bowl has just 340 calories and is quite filling. Moreover, the large size contains 22 grams of protein and 8 grams of fiber.

5. Dave's Single - 590 Cals

Do you feel like you have to order a burger when you're at Wendy's? We would recommend Dave's Single. While there are lower calorie options (like the Jr. Cheeseburger Deluxe; another decent choice), we like that this sandwich is topped with lots of veggies. It's also a quarter-pound of fresh beef which yields 29 grams of protein.
